GAR Inc provides armed and unarmed security guard training programmes to companies and institutions both locally and regionally. Our programmes are designed to provide your security guards with the necessary skill sets, qualifications and certifications to complete the tasks to which they are assigned.

Private lessons are available for customers of all skill levels, from first time to advanced shooters by GAR’s professional and experienced instructors. These sessions are customized to your specific needs and to your schedule.

GAR Inc will customize your training to suit your self-defense, target or competitive shooting skill development. Whether you want to learn how to safely handle a pistol or revolver or learn advanced carry techniques, we will assist you in achieving your goals.

Private lessons are available by appointment only.

 

Provisional Course

GAR Inc is licensed to provide provisional license training for first time firearm applicants. The course, a 5 hour program, provided in our indoor range facility. The fee is XCD$500 and is usually held on Fridays from 8:30am.

Modules covered under this course include:

  • intro to firearms and ammunition

  • firearm safety and law relating to firearms

  • principles of marksmanship

  • range practices and procedures

 
 

Our Instructors

Anthony Bristol

Founder and Lead Firearms Instructor. - Anthony is a US Certified Master Law Enforcement Instructor and has also been a Certified NRA Training Counsellor. He has been actively involved in developing firearm qualification standards for security companies and civilians in St. Lucia and has provided instructor training for Civilians and Law Enforcement Officers in St. Lucia Jamaica and Barbados.

Valton Oculien

Firearms Instructor & General Manager - A former Manager with Guardsman (St. Lucia) Ltd, Valton brings many years experience within the Security industry. He has also been a member of the GAR Inc instructor team for the past 6 years and is a top national competitive shooter. Valton has also been trained as a Close Protection Officer. He was also a member of the Cadet Corp leaving at the rank of Corporal.

 

John Joseph

Director & Firearms Instructor - John has been a director of GAR Inc. for the past seventeen (17) years. He is, and has been, involved with training at all levels for all agencies and is an experienced instructor who is able to identify and remedy marksmanship deficiencies with great effectiveness.

Gregory Joseph

Firearms Instructor - Gregory entered the world of firearms in 2015 when he joined Club GAR as a competitive sport shooter. He began his instructor training in 2017 and has since become a certified Glock Armorer. Gregory has also been a student of various martial arts, and is an avid fitness enthusiast.

Irvin Ace Loctor

Firearms Instructor - Irvin Loctar aka Ace has been a firearms instructor with GAR Inc since 2019. He has been passionate about sharing the knowledge he has acquired over the past seven (7) years since being introduced to firearms. During that period Ace has become a certified Glock Armorer and joined the GAR Elite II Sport Shooting team.
